"Views and Shoes" is the latest solo exhibition to see my work. A very big thank you to the staff at Kettering's Alfred East Art Gallery who were so friendly and helpful hanging the pieces. I was able to drop them off and then all the hanging was done! Such a treat! It was fantastic to see all the pieces up in a different setting and not so physically near to me in the studio. These pieces are all hand cut paper collages, made from layered pieced of pastel paper. They explore local scenes such as Triangle Lodge and places in Kettering, including little streets and tucked away places. Not many people know Kettering. They are often passing on the A14 and so don't realise there is such a gorgeous art gallery there! The main collection is fantastic too and curated beautifully, with lots of changes and themed exhibitions.
The exhibition runs until September 26th, culminating in an adult paper cutting workshop on that day.
